LPM 2006 is a unique opportunity of seeing different applications of the video live performance executed by more than 180 artists in more than 120 groups coming from all over the world: China, Uruguay, USA, England, Poland, Hungary, France, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Spain, Germany, Danmark, Portugal, Italy unified by one and only big interest in video-art, performances and above all live-acts.

Two year after the first edition of the LPM Live Performance Meeting, a third edition will take place in rome, the 24th and 25th of november, produced and organized by Flyer communication lab.
The chosen venue will be the Linux club.

The second edition will be more than a usual meeting, it can be regarded as a festival, being a two-days event with different aereas and several contents. An important opportunity to relate to other experts; a "place" for meeting, relating and interacting, for those who work for artistic expressions through tecnique and technology. An opportunity to "feel" how the different languages of music, video, graphic design and theater can be unified by the sensibility of the author, who thus creates a new perseption of arts and generally a new way of communication.
The 2days-program will consist in various concerts, theater performances and projections of short–films; it will end each night with a dj-vj set, considered the main entertainment of the evening.
The area "OFF" is conceived to be separated from the rest, in order to be dedicated to the meetings between vjs, video artists and other experts/workers that will take place from 11am to 17pm: there will be the possibilty of discussing and exchanging ideas about techniques, themes and contents, through workshops and showcases of projects and products with the participation of MATROX, EDIROL, PIONEER and the presentation of FLxER 4.

The flexibility of the program and the open attitude towards new participants and contributions is on purpose in line with the concept of meeting: there is the freedom of taking part to the meeting as well as the possibility of performing. lpm is an open place for creativity and improvisation, as an intrinsic characteristic of experimantation.

LPM è un'occasione unica per vedere le diverse applicazioni del "VIDEO LIVE" attraverso le performance di oltre 180 artisti per 120 gruppi provenienti dal panorama internazionele: Cina, Uruguay, USA, Inghilterra, Polonia, Ungheria, Francia, Croazia, Serbia, Macedonia, Spagna, Germania, Danimarca, Portogallo, Italia all'insegna di un'unica grande passione per il video, la performance e soprattutto il "LIVE".

E' la terza edizione del progetto LPM prodotto da Flyer communication ed organizzato da FLxER.net in collaborazione con Radio DD, Deliriouniversale.com e 369gradi ed altri numerosi ed importanti partner internazionali che farà incontrare al Linux club di Roma in un meeting unico gli appassionati di tecniche e tecnologie digitali, analogiche, software ed hardware, ma anche artisti che viaggiano nell'interazione e fusione tra nuove e differenti forme di espressione artistica.

Al centro di questo appuntamento c'è il progetto "FLxER" (software di mixaggio video gratuito, progettato dal laboratorio di ricerca dell'agenzia di comunicazione Flyer Communication), attorno al quale è nata una community basata sull'OpenContent di oltre 7.000 persone che da 5 anni in una sorta di video blog condividono oltre 4,000 file video.

LPM 2006 non è solo un meeting, ma anche un momento di spettacolo dal vivo dove il pubblico avrà la possibilità di vedere una selezione di artisti internazionali attivi nella VIDEO LIVE PERFORMANCE, e di "sentire" come i diversi linguaggi della musica, del video, del teatro, della grafica, possano essere variamente combinarti dalla sensibilità creativa dell'artista-demiurgo, creatore di una nuova modalità di percepire e di comunicare.

Il programma dell'evento prevede performance video aperte al pubblico (area "ON") applicate in combinazione con spettacoli teatrali, concerti e djset; ed una serie di iniziative particolarmente dedicate agli ospiti del meeting (area "OFF"): workshop; showcase; incontri.

L'area "ON", destinata ad accogliere un vasto pubblico, é caratterizzata dall'opportunità di vedere le diverse applicazioni delle VIDEO LIVE PERFORMANCES da parte di artisti del panorama nazionale ed internazionale. Dalle 24 in poi i videoartisti che partecipano al meeting possono esibirsi da una delle 5 consolle video con a disposizione oltre 10video proiettori e numerosi monitor.

L'area "Off", destinata al Meeting, occasione di confronto tra vj e video artisti attivi nelle tematiche relative alle VIDEO LIVE PERFORMANCES, è concepita come spazio a sé stante, frequentato principalmente dagli "addetti ai lavori" con un programma che alterna spazi di incontro a workshop e showcase di progetti e prodotti.

LPM è un meeting e un festival per la flessibilità del programma, l'apertura verso nuove adesioni e contributi, la libertà di partecipazione e la possibilità di esibirsi nel corso della serata. LPM vuole essere uno spazio aperto alla libertà d'espressione, alla ricerca e alla sperimentazione, e l'improvvisazione ne è una caratteristica intrinseca.

L'iscrizione al meeting e l'ingresso al pubblico sono GRATUITI.
