The LPM 2008, in collaboration with DegradArte Novalab and ArtisOpensource, will host a thematic and performative space completely dedicated to .

DegradArte will characterize its presence in three ways:

- a theoric workshop (Degradarte. Immaterial Paradoxes)
- the permanent exhibition space (Degradarte EXPO' 2008 by xDxD)
- the call for partecipation at the LPM dedicated to degraded videos, VJ sets and live performances (Video DegradArte LPM)

The event will be a chance to perform live with degraded art performances, to present your artworks and to discuss them during the workshop.

Registering will be possible until April 30th 2008, using the standard LPM procedure.

* Join the DegradArteCrew! All of the artworks created for the LPM will be automatically published on the laboratory and on the official DegradArte website, and exhibited at the Degradarte EXPO' space during the event.

We hope to meet you all in Rome on May 29th!

L'edizione LPM 2008, in collaborazione con Degradarte NovaLab e ArtIsOpensource, ospiterà uno spazio tematico e performativo interamente dedicato alla Degradarte.

Degradarte catatterizzerà la sua presenza in tre modi:

- il workshop di approfondimento teorico (Degradarte. I paradossi dell'Immateriale)
- lo spazio espositivo permanente (Degradarte EXPO' 2008 - video installazione a cura di xDxD)
- la call for participation all'LPM dedicata a video, vjset e live performance degradate (Video DegradArte LPM).

L'evento sarà l'occasione per esibirsi dal vivo con performance degradate e presentare le proprie opere e discuterle durante il workshop.

partecipare è semplice: dovrete solo seguire le procedure standard dell'LPM.
Le iscrizioni sono aperte fino al 30 aprile 2008.

* Vi ricordiamo inoltre che tutte le video-opere che creerete per l'LPM saranno automaticamente pubblicate sul laboratorio e sul sito ufficiale di Degradarte ed esposte insieme alle altre nello spazio Degradarte EXPO'.

- Participate to the DegradArte VJing night -

The LPM 2008, in collaboration with Degradarte Novalab and ArtisOpenSource, opens up a call for participation dedicated to degraded videos, vj sets, performances and other artworks open to all VJs, video-artists, new media artists and, naturally, to all those that already are degrad-artists:

1. choose a video-object that is protected by copyright
2. degrade it by applying digital processes aiming at lowering resolution and general content quality
3. make sure that in the finished artwork the original object is perfectly recognizable, and that it can be visualized on a web page
4. register now to the Video DegradArte LPM 2008 call by filling out the form
5. send us your degraded video artwork to this address: contatti@degradarte.org

How to participate:

First of all, immediately register to the event, using the normal procedur of LPM. only the artists that will correctly register by April 30th will be able to participate to the Video Degradart LPM and perform live during the event with a vj set, a live performance or an installation.

Second, send an email to contatti@degradarte.org containing your degraded artwork (or a link allowing us to download it from the net), together with:

* a short description of the work and of the degrading process used (about/max 200 words);
* a short presentation of yourself (yourselves).

The video works that we will receive and the live performances will be gathered and published on:

the Degradarte laboratory on Novalab
lab.nova100.ilsole24ore.com/degradarte

and on the official website
www.degradarte.org

They will be included in the exhibition space Degradarte EXPO' 2008, hosted by the LPM 2008.

In collaborazione con Degradarte NovaLab e ArtIsOpensource, l'LPM 2008 lancia una call for participation dedicata a video, vjset, performance e opere rdegradate aperta a vj, video-artisti, artisti dei new media e, naturalmente, ai degratartisti:

1. scegli un oggetto-video protetto da diritto d'autore
2. degradalo applicando uno o più processi digitali che ne diminuiscano la qualità del contenuto
3. assicurati che nell'opera finita l'oggetto sia perfettamente riconoscibile e visualizzabile da una pagina web
4. iscriviti subito a Video degradarte LPM riempiendo l'apposita form 5. inviaci la tua video-opera degradata all'indirizzo contatti@degradarte.org!

Come partecipare

Prima di tutto, iscriviti immediatamente all'evento, seguando le normali procedure dell'LPM. Solo gli artisti che avranno effettuato correttamente l'iscrizione entro il 30 aprile, potranno partecipare al Video Degradarte LPM ed esibirsi durante l'evento con vj set, live performance e istallazioni.

In secondo luogo, invia una e-mail a contatti@degradarte.org contenente la tua video-opera degradata (o un link che ci consenta di scaricarla dal web), corredata da:

* una breve descrizione dell'opera e del processo di degradazione utilizzato (circa/massimo 200 parole);
* una vostra nota di presentazione.

Le video-opere pervenute e le performance live verranno raccolte e pubblicate
