DJ, speaker, promoter and journalist specialized in hip hop, urban beats and electronics, Andypop plays since many years in the Italian underground. After playing for a long time funk, electropop and rare grooves, in 1998 married drum'n'bass, in all its forms (ragga-jungle, jump up, liquid funk) but especially the darker and hyperkinetic ones.
He wrote several articles about deejing and street culture on some of the most prestigious Italian Urban Culture magazines. He interviewed two international icons of contemporary rhythmic music as DJ Premier (Basement) and DJ Hype (for Defrag Magazine).
On Basement Magazine he publish regularly articles related to urban beats.
He currently works with ALIAS, the weekly press of Il Manifesto, for which he wrote the first article published in an Italian newspaper about the Anglo-Saxon  dubstep scene.
As a DJ he has performed in all the best Italian underground clubs, including: Linux, Brancaleone, Forte Prenestino, Leoncavallo, Maffia, MuMu Frequencies, Puddhu Bar.
