GETTING TO MINSK BY PLANE
International airport 'Minsk 2' is about 40 kms from the city center.
Upon arrival and after finishing customs procedures, we advice you to exchange some cash, but just a little to get to Y Gallery - about 10-20 eu
- BUS #300 Airport - bus station "Vostochniy" (ticket - about 2 EUR, duration 45 minutes). Bus stop is in front of the Gate 2. Schedule is in "package".
- Get off on metro station 'Vostok (Uschod)'. Please, inform the bus driver where you want to get off.
- Get into METRO
- Please note that announcements in public transport are made in Belarusian language. You need to take 5 stops till 'Ploshchad Pobedy' (RU) / 'Plošča Pieramohi' (BY) station. Get off from metro and walk about 200 meters into yard. (behind the bank office)

SOLUTION 2: Flight to VILNIUS (LITHUANIA)
Several low-cost airlines fly to Vilnius: Wizzair, Ryanair, AirBaltic.
Then you can get to Minsk by train of bus. It's only about 190 kms, and overall travel costs will be much lower than if you fly directly to Minsk. - Fly to Vilnius airport. Exchange some money to Lithuanian Litas at the airport - just a little.
- Take a BUS #2 ("Oro Uostas - Stotis') to railway station (Stotis) Ticket costs 2.5 Litas (1 USD), trip duration 20 minutes. Buses depart 1-2 times an hour.
- OR take a special TRAIN from Airport to Railway station, shuttling every hour. Ticket costs 2.5 Litas (1 USD). Bus and train from airport arrive to the Main train station (Stotis). Railway station (Stotis) & coach/bus station (Autobusu Stotis) are near each other, across the square. There's a bank with 24hrs currency exchange between them.
- Get off from bus or train and go to BUS STATION to buy a ticket to MINSK (TICKET - 10-15 eur, duration 4 hrs).
- Or if you choose TRAIN to Minsk - go to the international ticket office (to the left from the station main entrance). Schedule is in "package". We strongly advice you to take a train rather than a bus - it's generally cheaper, more comfortable and reliable.
- Take a train to Minsk
- ARRIVE to Minsk railway station
- Change euro or dollars to Belarusian Roubles in currency exchange office.
- Right from the Railway station you can get to Metro station "Ploschad Lenina (RU) / Plošča Lenina (BY) and take 2 stops. Please note that announcements in public transport are made in Belarusian language.
- Get off at PLOSCHAD POBEDY (RU) / Plošča Pieramohi (BY) - and walk about 100 meters into the yard (behind the bank office).

SOLUTION 3: Flight from NATIVE CITY to RIGA (LATVIA)
Lowcost airlines (Wizzair, Ryanair, AirBaltic) also fly to Riga (Latvia). Then you can also take a train/bus to Minsk, but it's a longer trip than in case of Vilnius.

- ARRIVE to Minsk railway station

GETTING TO MINSK BY CAR
You can travel to Belarus by car from Europe and the CIS. There are several Belarus border crossings and an extensive road network running across the country.
You need an international driving licence to drive in Belarus. Traffic drives on the right. The motorway speed limit is 120 km/h (75 mph).
Very few foreign travel insurance policies are accepted in Belarus. Insurance can be purchased at the border; charges start at 5 euros for 15 days. All vehicles entering Belarus must pay a tax, with charges ranging from 20 USD.
The M1/E30 highway is a toll road, with a 1 USD charge for passenger vehicles. Road signs are in Cyrillic, although signs at major junctions are also in Latin script.
