LPM - Live Performers Meeting
The LPM project was born in 2004 with the aim to answer to the need for creating a space-temporal referential field where to meet, know each other and share vjing related experiences. Nowadays LPM is an international meeting dedicated to artists, professionals and passionates of veejaying, visual and live video performance.

LPM Sixth edition Mexico
LPM in Xalapa has been a pioneer event in its kind in Mexico and its success had an important role in the local cultural scene. An international event which promotes technology, the sharing of informations and an avantgarde.

LPM is produced by Flyer Comunications (Roma) in corporation wth Fabrik Project (Xalapa, Mexico) with the help of artists, collaborators and proponents, supported by the Institutions of Government and Culture.

On 4th and 5th September at the Escuela Gestalt de Diseño many presentations of audiovisual projects, workshops and installations took place, until the closing party at Museo del Transporte y de las exposiciones on 6th September with the special showcase of 9 no-stop hours of audiovisual projections, during this time all the artists have interacted on the stage.

4th, 5th September - Escuela Gestalt de Diseño
At the Escuela Gestalt de diseño began LPM 08 Mexico, the LPM team - composed by Gianluca del Gobbo and Marco Donnarumma (TheSAD) - opened the event in the auditorium, where they explained the reasons why they choose to organize LPM in Mexico and how the event is able to create a space where to share knowledge, experiences among different countries. They have also explained the program development modality, closely related to the principle of freedom of membership and participation at the event.

In the conferences and presentations section, the visual artist Deftoo á LA Yoa (Poland) has given an interesting workshop of introduction to the Vjing: from the video camera employment to create and manipulate content through the use of various vj software, to the composition and animation, to the conceptualization of a live video performance. The dialogue resulted from participants' interest and interaction (beginners, amateurs and experts), has enabled a better understanding of LPM issues and content.

Vj Spunco (Acapulco) has made the presentation of Modul8 VJ software, designed to modify the video in real time, generating sequences of lights, architectural and space video, which allow to create video installations; his speech concluded with the presentation of his project The Documentary vj. The third presentation by Sonido Mala Onda, from Mexico City, was a presentation of the "Mexican Mafia Gangsta Shit" project, a work that combines urban sounds and mexican folklore.

Gianluca Del Gobbo, the creator of FLxER free software, Marco Donnarumma (TheSAD) and Mitja Bombardieri (META2) from Rome, presented the FLxER project and the features of the new version FLxER 4.4 beta free A/V mixer, software that lets you mix together in real-time vector graphics, audio, video, text. VJ Dogon (DF) creator and producer, presented the event Circuito Electrovisiones, created in May in Mexico City, followed by the audio-visual performance Lights Bendings which makes use of circuits, controllers and games: a webcam capture images, brightness and contrast live, and translates the video and sound signal according to the setted programming code.

Deftoo á LA Yoa (Poland) has performed with his project Eeny meeny miny moe, which tells the social reality of his country. The Multimedia Designer VJ Chana (DF), presented an overview of vjing mexican festival and events, which promote theVjing Mexican culture abroad. Vj Lalo (D.F.) has proposed the video installation "Flor", an interesting visual proposal in 3D that reacts to the movement of spectators. Lalo has also made a presentation of the VVVV software, explaining in detail the software able to recreate graphical environments and physical interfaces, motion-graphics, audio and video manipulations.

In the classroom 102, were shown some DVD, like Audiovisual Landscape and Net Data Visualizer by Marcus VJ (Cuernavaca, Morelos), Placenta by Imwinkel (Paris), AFX by Manolo (León México), One-minute suite top ten by Video Minuto (Italy).

During the two evenings on the Esculela Gestalt terrace, equipped with 6 screens, many artists have performed with audio-visual projects such as Pasos by Nomada, Simbioptic with his project From reggae to dubstep, Desollado with the performance Fragmentado, and closing Bestial crew by Vj Chana and still VJ Copycat, DJ Redker, Daesfunca, Xnografikz.

6th September - Museo del Transporte y Exposiciones
The last day of the Meeting hosted the closing party, with many audiovisual performances: Arkteria with Protocelular, Nucleroto by Kchihiro accompanied by Mixfukedup live guitar & electronics, Mohnvox by Xnografikz, MexicanKitschNonStopThePower by Sonido Mala Onda, to one of the special guests, Bostich + Fussible, members of the renowned NORTEC collective .

Starting at midnight began the VJclash, during which the VJs performed at the same time, together with some national famous djs, such as In Vitro and Dj Six (D.F.). The public could enjoy vjsets: Vj Diablos (Polonia), Vj Packo Pasko (D.F.), Vj Dogon (D.F.), Vj CHaNa (D.F.), Desollado (D.F.), Bioritmo (D.F.), and the presentation of FLxER Team (Rome) with the vjsets by Meta2, Deftoo á la Yoa and TheSad, which showed the latest features of FLxER 4.4-free AV mixer software, so closing this mexican edition.
